As a veteran-owned tactical gear company, we believe Americans must choose preparedness as a way of life — one rooted in faith and freedom.

Our Story Our Story as a Veteran Owned Tactical Gear Company

Our Story

Invictus Templar is a veteran-owned tactical gear company, founded by a dual-service husband and wife team. Calvin, a Marine veteran, and Cynthia, a Navy veteran, launched the company after years of working for organizations that, over time, revealed a lack of true tolerance for our faith.  During that same period, our faith journey deepened — beginning when we found out we were expecting our first child. That moment became the foundation that continues to guide us daily. It drives us to be better servants of God and better stewards of the gifts He has entrusted to us.

The Birth of a Better Brand

In 2024, after moving to Tennessee, we experienced a significant loss. A storage accident destroyed much of our household goods — including essential survival and tactical gear.

As we began replacing those items, we quickly realized how stagnant the tactical and survival gear industry had become. Most companies sold cookie-cutter products with little innovation. And those that did innovate often made only superficial changes, charging premium prices without delivering real value to the end-user.

At that point, we knew something had to change. If we wanted gear that truly worked — gear designed with real-world needs in mind — we would have to build it ourselves.

Around that same time, we recognized the need to take control of our future. We no longer wanted to rely on companies that didn’t align with our values. We needed the freedom to build something on our own terms — guided by faith and grounded in the ability to make meaningful decisions for our family and our community.

That’s how Invictus Templar, a tactical brand rooted in Christian values, was born. It didn’t just emerge from a need for better gear — it came from a desire to create something that reflects our beliefs and our vision for the future.

Today, we’re committed to offering affordable tactical and survival gear that prioritizes function, innovation, and accessibility for all Americans.

Our Commitment to You

We pursue a mission that balances quality with innovation — creating tactical gear that meets the needs of everyday Americans without breaking the bank. We believe readiness should be within reach for every family. With that mindset, we’re proud to serve as your trusted modular tactical equipment provider.

Even though we’re in our early stages, our dedication is unwavering. We listen to our customers and build gear that reflects real-world needs — not marketing trends.

We know we won’t get everything right from the start. But with God’s guidance and your support, we stay confident in our mission to make a lasting difference in the tactical space.

Join us on this journey as we serve our families, our communities, and our country — while also giving back. To learn more about our faith-based giving initiatives, visit The Tithe.

Core Values

A Company Committed to Americans - Citizens First. God and Liberty Always.

Faith

Faith is the cornerstone of our organization, rooted in the enduring principles of the Founding Fathers. John Adams famously stated, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Ultimately, we believe our rights are endowed by the Creator — inalienable and not granted by any government. As a result, these natural rights, essential to human free will, must be defended.

To secure that free will against tyranny, the individual must be both disciplined and equipped. This is why the Second Amendment exists: to safeguard the right to keep and bear arms as a means of protection.

“He said to them, ‘But now, the one who has a purse must take it, and likewise a bag. And the one who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one.’”

— Luke 22:36

Service

Service — the voluntary and selfless assistance of others — is both an act of faith and a moral duty. It encompasses military service, good works, and the protection of the vulnerable.

As Benjamin Franklin reminded us, “A Republic, if you can keep it,” freedom depends on the responsibility of the individual.

That’s why we place our trust not in government, but in service to our communities. Through service, we ensure their prosperity and their ability to influence the future.

In turn, our role is to equip and prepare the militia — the whole people — to defend freedom and livelihood. As George Mason declared: “The militia is the whole people, except for a few public officials.”

“For you were called to freedom, brothers; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

— Galatians 5:13

Duty

Duty is our moral obligation to protect and preserve the freedoms bestowed upon us.

As James Madison warned, “The essence of government is power; and power, lodged as it must be in human hands, will ever be liable to abuse.”

Because of that truth, we must be vigilant defenders of liberty — taking alarm at every infringement on our freedom.

Therefore, we embrace our role as good shepherds, preparing the citizenry to fulfill their duty: to uphold and defend the rights and liberties that form the foundation of our republic.

“Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

— Psalm 82:3–4

What “Invictus Templar” Means for a Faith-Based Tactical Brand

Invictus

“Invictus,” a Latin word meaning “unconquered” or “undefeated,” symbolizes resilience, strength, and the indomitable will to overcome adversity. Historically, the word is most famously associated with the poem Invictus by William Ernest Henley, written in 1875.

Henley’s poem embodies the human spirit’s unyielding determination in the face of suffering. Its iconic closing lines — “I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul” — have inspired individuals and movements to remain steadfast and resilient during times of struggle.

So how does this apply to a tactical company and the Second Amendment?

The concept of being “unconquered” directly reflects the principles behind the Second Amendment and the American ideals of liberty. The right to bear arms is fundamentally about preserving the ability of individuals to defend themselves, their families, and their communities against oppression.

In the same spirit as Henley’s words, the Second Amendment underscores the idea that free individuals must have the means to protect their sovereignty. It reinforces the strength and resolve needed to remain independent and resist tyranny — ensuring that power ultimately remains with We the People.

“Invictus” is more than a name. It is the embodiment of our unwavering commitment to freedom, resilience, and the right to defend one’s life and liberty. It also defines our foundation as a Veteran Owned Tactical Gear Company, built to serve patriots who refuse to be conquered.

Templar

The Knights Templar — officially known as the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon — were founded in 1119 AD in the aftermath of the First Crusade. Their original mission was to protect Christian pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem and other sacred sites in the Holy Land. These journeys were often dangerous due to bandits and hostile forces.

Formed by nine knights under the leadership of Hugues de Payens, the Templars dedicated themselves to defending these pilgrims and the sites they considered holy. Their name was derived from the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, which served as their headquarters.

Over time, the Templars became known not only as fearless warriors, but also as one of the most powerful military orders of the medieval world — participating in multiple crusades to protect Christian territories.

In many ways, the Knights Templar represent an early model of citizen-soldiers. They combined faith with martial discipline to defend the vulnerable and uphold the sovereignty of Christendom.

Similarly, the Second Amendment — rooted in the belief that a well-armed citizenry is essential to a free state — reflects the same core ideals. Just as the Templars took up arms to protect faith and freedom, the modern American citizen has both the right and responsibility to defend themselves, their communities, and their liberties from oppression.

Both the Templars and the Second Amendment emphasize that defending freedom is not just a right — it is a duty.

That’s why we founded Invictus Templar: to be your trusted modular tactical equipment provider — built on faith, service, and the unshakable belief that liberty must be defended.
