I started this company for a simple reason: everyday Americans deserve high-quality tactical gear without being priced out by big brands or sold on gimmicks.
I spent over a decade in the Marine Corps. Combat veteran, multiple deployments, with time in artillery, targeting intelligence, and security operations — specifically antiterrorism and force protection.
That last piece is the one that matters here. Force protection is the job of working out what a threat actually is, and what it takes to keep people alive against it. You don't do that work for years and then look at a plate carrier the way a normal customer does. And even knowing this industry as well as I did — professionally and personally — I was frustrated by how it operates.
A stagnant industry
In 2024, my wife and I moved to Tennessee. We packed up the house, the kids, and put a lot of our gear into storage. A storage accident destroyed thousands of dollars of our property — furniture, keepsakes, and a significant amount of tactical equipment.
Replacing that gear is what opened my eyes. The industry hadn't moved in years:
- The same designs, rebranded, with no real innovation.
- Outrageous prices on plate carriers and body armor.
- Big-name brands charging a premium for the logo alone.
Meanwhile, the people who actually want to be prepared — for home defense, for emergencies, for personal security — were left with limited, overpriced options.
Something needed to change.
What we build on
Invictus Templar isn't another tactical brand. It's a response to a problem. Three principles hold it up:
Faith — The right to defend life and liberty isn't granted by government. It's God-given.
Service — Our job is to make sure Americans are equipped to protect the people they love.
Duty — Readiness isn't an option. It's a responsibility.
Every law-abiding American should have access to the tools to protect their family and their community. Responsible gun owner, prepper, first responder, or simply someone who believes in being ready — you deserve gear that doesn't compromise on quality or force you to overpay.
How we're different
The tactical industry is loud. Some brands are rebranded imports carrying heavy markups. Others are genuinely good and charge for the name. We do three things differently.
No brand tax. You shouldn't have to spend $250–$400 on a reliable plate carrier.
Modular by design. Our gear works with what you already own, and our own pieces work with each other. Change a loadout instead of rebuying one.
Transparent sourcing. Plenty of brands claim "Made in America" while importing the parts. We tell you where each piece comes from. Our textiles are sourced domestically and overseas from vetted suppliers. Our armor is made in the United States and includes NIJ Compliant options.
Our long-term goal is to bring all manufacturing home without pushing prices up. That means scaling deliberately, building the capital, and getting there without passing the cost on to the people we built this for.
Giving back
This company is built on service, and service means giving something up.
Every month, 10% of our net revenue is set aside for organizations working on:
- Second Amendment advocacy and gun rights
- School and child safety
- Veteran and first responder support
We're not waiting until we're big to start.
Where we're going
We're early, and we know it. Over the next five years we're committed to expanding the lineup well beyond carriers and belts, scaling production so we can own our manufacturing here at home, and growing what we give away as we grow.
