Level III+ steel rifle plates praised for excellent range of motion and fit. Customers said they're "sturdy and perfect size without being overly bulky" with great value. It’s actually smaller than a “10x12” it’s actually 10x11”11/16. I don’t like lies if you lied about the size, are they actually level 3+??? I’m not sure, I prefer 11x14 plates but you don’t have any. Increase the price if you have to just don’t lie to the people to cut corners, it’s bad karma.
Yes, the plates are Level III+ in the sense that they exceed traditional Level III performance standards. More specifically, they are RF1 plates and surpass the legacy Level III testing requirements.
Regarding the size, you alleged that we “lied” by providing plates measuring approximately 10” x 11 11/16” rather than exactly 10” x 12”. That is not an accurate characterization. Within the armor industry, “10x12” is a standard size category, not a guarantee of exact physical dimensions. Manufacturers commonly refer to this as a 'nominal' size or 'in name only' size.
Body armor plates are manufactured with acceptable tolerances for both weight and dimensions. Additionally, factors such as the plate cut (Shooter’s Cut, SAPI Cut, Swimmer Cut, etc.) and multi-curve shaping can affect the final measurements. As a result, a plate marketed as a 10x12 plate may not measure exactly 10.00” x 12.00” in every dimension.
This is similar to how armor plates are often described as having a nominal thickness of 1 inch. The actual thickness may vary slightly depending on the materials, construction method, and curvature of the plate. This is not a misrepresentation or a shortcut in manufacturing; it is simply the standard convention used throughout the armor industry.
That said, we appreciate the feedback and will take it into consideration as we continue improving our product descriptions. Providing additional dimensional details may help avoid confusion for customers seeking exact measurements.

These were my very first ballistic plates ever. They came in the mail one day earlier than expected. I did a bit of research before I found this company and after much looking at other brands this one just stood out. After receiving the plates I of course had to put them into the plate carrier. I was happy to see that they slid in just fine along with the foam inserts the carrier came with. Everything fits very good. I happened to see the mk1 modular plate carrier on it's own that I plan to replace my other carrier with in the future.
For the price, they are some of the best on the market. They are heavy, but not as heavy as thought they would be. I'm running a pretty simple carrier, no side plates and the carrier, with plates and 4 mags comes in at about 20 pounds. Fast shipping, great product I hope I'll never have to use.

Is Warden NIJ compliant?
Yes -- Warden is tested to meet and exceed NIJ Level III ballistic standards and is NIJ Level III+ Compliant.
What's the difference between Spall Coating and Base Coat Only?
Spall Coating adds an extra layer of frag mitigation buildup for additional fragmentation reduction on impact. Base Coat Only provides standard corrosion and surface protection without the added coating. Both options use the same AR600 steel core and carry the same ballistic rating.
Can Warden be shipped to my state?
Body armor cannot be shipped outside the United States, or to New York or Connecticut. Some felony convictions may also prohibit the purchase, ownership, or use of body armor -- please confirm your local and federal eligibility before ordering.
How many plates do I need, and what size/cut should I choose?
